Itinerary description
(ES) El Volcán Tajumulco es el punto más alto de Centroamérica con 4,222 msnm.
Este ascenso se realiza por el norte entre San Sebastian y Tuichán. Puede hacerse la primera parte con vehículo 4x4.
Subir del parqueo al área de campamento donde se encuentra la primera cruz (2 - 3h). Seguir las cruces (12) hasta la cumbre (45min - 1h). El última parte de recorrido es pedregoso.
Durante el recorrido pueden encontrarse diferentes especies de hongos, aves y abejas. Predomina el bosque de pino.

This hike is made from the north between San Sebastian and Tuichán. The first part can be done with a 4x4 vehicle.
First go up from the parking lot to the camping area where the first cross is located (2 - 3h). Follow the crosses (12) to the summit (45min - 1h). The last part of the route is rocky.
During the hike you can find different species of fungi, birds and bees. Pine forest predominates.
