Itinerary description
Beautiful trail, we’ll definitely repeat it in winter.. the scenery is really nice. The cave is astonishing.
The trail itself is easy, however, some descends are tricky, be very cautious, and have your poles on.
Enjoy the trail and plz keep it clean.
This trail was originally designed by Rami Rashkidi.. therefore i believe no one will describe it better than him..
“Snowshoeing starting from Arz Ehmej camping. We followed the trail in Wadi el Siyyar. Amazing sceneries in snow. Majestic Hafroun on your left. Two large ponds on the way. Soon after the ponds, we left the trail leading to "Tellaj Ehmej" and went down left to pass by "Mat2oubeh" grotto, an amazing "open roof" cave where you can get splendid photos. Stunning sceneries all around. Lakloud "pyramid" is best seen from here. The trail continues to Ain El Batrak where you reach Laklouk main road. We removed our snowshoes here and walked on the road till "Saydet el Ramliyyeh" church. From there, you can follow LMT side trail signs to reach the col ovelooking wadi Hafroun. After crossing a kind of plateau, a pleasant descent in the valley will take you to the starting point. Keep hiking and remember to leave no trace.”
