Itinerary description
This hike takes you through the forest/rubber plantation around the Firestone Golf course. To make it clear: This track doesn't cross the golf course, and in fact, you will hardly see anything of the golf course.
It does take you through the forest around it and past the senior staff houses and some of the villages on the Firestone estate. You will go through a few gates along the way and may be asked some questions by fire stone security staff, but you should be free to walk the roads and tracks if you don't interfere with the rubber production: "Take only photos, leave only footsteps"
The track is quite diverse and you can expect to see a lot of rubber trees, but also a lot of other vegetation, like mango trees and a lot of bamboo.
It's recommended to walk the track in the indicated direction, as the first part you'll be more exposed to the sun and the second part you'll be more under the cover of trees. Assuming you start this walk early in the morning, you will probably want to avoid the hot sun later on the day.
Please note that this hike could also be done by mountain bike, but you may then want to skip 1 or 2 very minor short cuts.
