Itinerary description
This is a nice walk through the eastern outskirts of Monrovia. From the starting point, you'll be passing by some houses, but soon enough you will be out of Monrovia and in nature.
After a few kilometre, you will get a larger unpaved road which you will follow for about 2.5 km. From there you turn into the savannah: Large areas of grassland, surrounded by patches of jungle and small villages.
Near the last part of the hike, you will see several narrow, but frequently long, bridges. During the wet season, the area is flooded, but during the dry season, you will be able to skip of the bridges.
We recommend to follow the hike in the indicated direction as you will have more tree cover in the second part of the trip to give you a bit of shade during the hottest part of the day.
