Itinerary description
Nice mostly easy scenic loop across the red rocks and back closer to Sedona.
There are a couple of parking places. One at the church (Back o Beyond / Indian Cliffs) one further at the Trail head (B) and another at the road coming in the direction from Oak Creek Village.
From the parking at the church go north east (left as seen from the Hwy).
Almost immediately go right (there is a hiking sign that can only be seen from the other side) on a road indicating additional parking for the church. Go up to the trail head.
Heading on the Bell Rock pathway not too far from the Hwy 179 heading south east.
Turn East on the Little Horse Trail Head on the left. At point Q the trail ends at a view point, mostly busy because this is a stopping point from the jeep tours.
Look for the Broken Arrow Trail head and don't use the jeep track.
Follow the Broken Arrow and at a crossing with Submarine Rock go left.
At a sinkhole (another jeep stop) take a look at the bat cave, go around the sinkhole and go south west (sharp left from the direction you came)
At the end of the trail there is a parking. Go left (north west) on a dirt road that becomes an asphalt road in a short while (Morgan Rd).
Follow Morgan Rd to the Hwy. Go left along the Hwy (nice hike/bike way alongside)
After a short while take Pine Rd left and Pine Knoll right that leads to the Mystic Trail Head.
Follow the Mystic Trail until reaching Chapel Road. Go strait on into the suburban area of Sedona.
Take Lynx Rd, Badger Rd, Shirley Rd back to the parking (there should be signs indicating the hike/bike route.)
Hike with little shade.
Hiking time 3 hours.

Nice, easy trail, great for the first day of visit to Sedona. Might take bit longer than the author indicated if you are stopping (and of course you will, because the views are great). It took us almost 4 hours with all the stops.
