Itinerary description
An easy, very scenic hike.
Start at HWY 95 mp 173, park at the entrance road.
Hike past the gate towards the electrical substation.
At the substation, pass it to the right, follow the jeep track in the wash. (downhill)
After a short while the jeep trail turns right, follow this dirt road that gets wider.
Go up a small hill and soon the road forks, go left, towards the mountains.
The dirt road is sometimes almost gone but easy to follow.
The road turns into a long valley with high mountains on both sides.
Quite a scenic hike.
The road goes left around more scenic mountains and you can see the water capture structure ahead (tank). This is a watering place for wildlife/game.
Go back towards the wash (car wash) and follow it all the way to the cliffs.
There is one drop ("drop 1") that you can easily bypass by going back and turn left (west) on an old jeep road. Go past the car wreck.
Stop at the cliffs, when you can't go any further.
But you can go further.... even almost easy.
