Itinerary description
A scenic hike to a large cove.
The first obstacle is a fall, head left along an other canyon and find a rather easy way down.
Once at the cove, keep left, you find a small goat trail, but easy to hike on.
The rock on the right is steamboat rock.
Look for the Lizard left on top of the hill.
As it seems rather difficult to go any further, hike up a small fall.
This is easy and not dangerous if you follow the right path.
On the other side you find a small canyon that runs parallel to the cove.
Follow it on a clear goat trail all the way to the end, this is Steamboat cove.
The topo map doesn't show it, but there is a considerable drop at the end.
Hike back until you reach red canyon, turn right away from the water.
