Itinerary description

Circular trail in the French Alps, starts from the town of Argentière, behind the hotel Le Dahu. You can park your car freely on the nearby parking De la Fis (look it up).

Follow the signposts to Lac Blanc. This is a very diverse trail, lots of different terrain. You will be going through woods, dirt, rocks, some grass, climb down/up ladders, wooden steps, cross bridges, etc. Because of all this the trail demands some skill and stamina, since the ascent is nearly constant.

If this is your first time, be prepared to stop a LOT and let your breath be taken away. If you're lucky, you'll get to see some chamois. In any case, plan this hike as a whole-day trip.

Note #1: After the waypoint Intersection #3, you will see a "spike" heading north-west and then back again. This was a GPS bug. Just continue straight on the path you were.

Note #2: Go through the intersections I've marked before following this trail. There are some turns which are a bit confusing, and we had to backtrack a little few times.

Note #3: Be sure to try the raspberry and blueberry pie at the Lac Blanc mountain lodge. They are amazing!

An old stone cottage, possibly used as a shelter? In any case, it seemed out of use.

Difficult only because of part with the ladders. There were not only one ladder, it was all the mountain with ladders! What i have liked the most, but other might see it as an impossible obstacle :) beside of ladders it was a moderate climb, not as steap, for example trail to Le Jonction would be 4/5 difficulty and this one 2/5 :) a lot of walk throught the forest or a plain fealds with a litle bit of rocks (and a ladders of course :D ). What so ever, the Lac Blanc view was rewarding, just try to evade all the crowds by wolking early in the morning :)
