Itinerary description
La sixième mini étape de ce tour du bassin d'Arcachon passe par une variante du GRP. Après la plage de Saint Brice, l' itinéraire traverse la commune d' Arès et son port ostréicole. Au niveau du courant de Lèger, le randonneur quitte le GRP pour prendre une variante qui s'enfonce dans la réserve naturelle des prés salés. Dans cette zone inondée à marée haute, le balisage est rare et les sentiers de sables nombreux; le marcheur devra marcher à vue tout en restant sur une sente afin de préserver la flore. Le bourg de Jane-de-Boy marque la ligne d'arrivée.
This sixth stage of the mini tour of the Arcachon bay uses a variant of the GRP. After the Saint Brice beach, the trail passes through the town of Ares and its oyster port. At the Lèger current, hikers leave the GRP to take a variant that sinks into the nature reserve of salt marshes. In this area flooded at high tide, the mark-up is scarce and sandy paths are numerous; visitors may need to walk at sight while staying on a path to preserve the flora. The hamlet of Jane de Boy marks the finish line.
