Itinerary description

Some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland the walk starts at Ards Friary the varied landscape includes beaches, sand dunes, cliffs, salt marshes and broadleaf woodland. Start the walk at Ards Friary (55.157857 -07.863912). There are a couple of places you can stop to take tea, one is an open shelter near the beach (55.166213 -07.873381) and another is a bird watching hide at the salt marshes (55.156485 -07.903978). In the winter months part of the track is quite muddy, so it's advisable to wear walking boots.
