Itinerary description
Nice hike starting at the Nature Center. Starts with a paved path that turned to a dirt trail once you take the path for Lake to the left (providing you go counter clockwise) along that trail there’s a in and back trail to Mary Wade Grave. Her grave is surrounded by a fence and across from hers are a few unmarked head stones scattered about. There’s a lake you’ll circle and a small water crossing at the “dam”. We continued on to the wooden walkway that bikers use. There’s a road crossing that continues the wooden walkway. The entrance for Arabia Mtn is at the AWARE. There are many signs posted not to step on the plants and water holes, they are protected. The hike was was rather easy but steep. One to the top, we continued down and back to the nature center. Finding the trailhead back to the parking lot was a bit of a challenge. You’re looking for a plaquer that’s about the plant, and that’s the trailhead.
