Itinerary description
A nice hike In Frontenac Provincial Park which has a bunch of trails available and was quite busy for a fall day. We chose the Dedication Trail North which took us by several beautiful lakes, trail is well signed and in good condition. There are boardwalks and bridges where required and mother nature provided us with a great display of the fall colours.
There are a couple of places to park, we chose the first lot at Arab Lake, Big Salmon Lake is an alternative. Both have portable toilets and there were also washroom facilities at the park office. Entry fee for our car was $14.50. Trail can be done in either direction and there are opportunities to extend the hike if you are eager.
Loads of nice scenery, undulating and twisting trail gives you lots of variety as you wind through a mixed forest and alongside several lakes of differing sizes. A really nice hike, can't wait to get back and explore more of this area.
