Simple route that runs along the Appalachian Trail, the longest hiking route in the world, which will allow us, easily accessible from Manhattan via Metro-North, with a stop in Manitou, taste 8 beautiful kilometers of this iconic trail that runs for 2000 miles through the Eastern United States.
It is a round trip route, from the train stop to Albany Post Road where there is a deli where we can buy food, drinks and rest a bit before undoing our steps and returning to Manitou.
It is shaded in summer all the time and the terrain is easily passable.
