Itinerary description
Day 7/7 of slackpacking Georgia on the AT. Trip organized by Above the Clouds Hostel in Suches (highly recommended).
Got dropped off at Dicks Creek Gap and picked up at Deep Gap.
This section is somewhat long, and almost entirely uphill. As soon as you cross the North Carolina border, after Bly Gap, the trail gets a little bit more rugged and steep.
The trail passes through a variety of trees, rhododendron and laurel groves. Sharp Top is a bit of a climb, but the best view is right after (tiny bit off trail to the right).
