Itinerary description
The two trails Aphrodite and Adonis (https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/adonis-nature-trail-part-1-neo-chorio-117162250 ) are adjacent and very popular among locals and fellow hikers. You may walk two of them together or each one separately. Since we arrived pretty late, we have chosen just one trail - Aphrodite and it was beautiful though demanding. The views over Akamas peninsula will take your breath away.
You can visit Baths of Aphrodite as well. Even if the main entrance to botanical gardens is closed, you can enter from a rear wicket.
SEASON: the trail is mostly exposed to the sun thus cool season is preferable. However in cooler seasons after the rains, the trail becomes very muddy, one should keep that in mind.
TERRAIN: first two kilometers is constant ascent initially along narrow rocky path, then along red clay path combined with limestone boulders. After, almost at the top, goes wide gravel road, then narrow rocky path with some ascent at first and then descent, afterwards are wide gravel and mud road. Poles would be helpful.
SIGNS: plenty of direction signs, metering, plant plates. As well as a few benches along the trail. The trail is very civilized.
KIDS: min age 6-7 or even older.
Parking is possible on a very civilized parking a few meters before botanical gardens, or alternatively near a sign directing to Aphrodite camping later on.

Thanks for sharing the track! Very nice walk with great of Akama peninsula.
I did it on the other way because when going down there is less slope.
Thank you for reviewing. It can be done either way.

We did it in reverse, but was equally beautiful. Is a bit exposed, at least the common part with Adonis trail. A very good choice for a morning hike, glad I did it. Thank you for your details 🙏.
