Itinerary description
Walk from Verres railway station to Pont S Martin railway station mainly along the Via Francigena (also the Route des Vins/Strada dei Vini), which is probably best stopped at Donnas railway station if there will be a suitable train stopping there, since the walk from Donnas to Pont S Martin isn't particularly scenic. Mainly on minor roads and tracks, this walk deviates slightly from the official walk to avoid walking along next to the Autostrada.
The walk goes right past Forte di Bard, which would be of interest to visit if you have time, and includes part of an original roman road and arch (La strada romana delle Gallie ed il suo arco).
