Short and easy hike to a first order Geodetic Vertice (the monolith in the picture) at the highest point of Serra d'Aire. The path is actually on a road leading to the multitude of antennas installed around the monolith. The hike is mostly on bare limestone and limestone rubble, technically unchallenging and doable on light mountain shoes. The elevation gain is about 300 metres, but never steep; hiking poles may be dispensable. Moving time: 2 hours 20 minutes.
There is no parking at the start, if arriving there by car you must leave somewhere among the bushes.
This track can be combined with the foot path that departs from the Covão do Milho ruins leading down to the karting track, going through Serradinha do Boi.
