Itinerary description
It is an absolutely beautiful and easy trail.
Trail parts:
P-01 - P-07. Road. At P-01 you can park your car next to the La Scala restaurant, but not next to the bus stop since big buses use this area to make a U-turn. You can find a welcome board with basic information about the route. Surprisingly, the trail does not start here and you have to walk till P-07 on the asphalt. At P-03 you can find the first trail marker and a rock with a very nice view. I also saw cars parked just before this trail marker. So, you can use it as alternative parking.
P-07 - P-12. Ascent. In this segment, the trail mainly goes up. You can enjoy scenic views of Mahe island and the Indian ocean. On the way back I discovered a bench with a very nice viewpoint at P-22.
P-12 - P-20. Descent. In this part, you will pass a nice "cave" at P-14, a viewpoint at P-16, and will finish on a gorgeous Anse Major beach at P-20.
Can be reached by any car.

Moderate
The trail itself is quite easy, it's the heat that takes it up to moderate. You'll go through a lot of water in only 2km out and back. Well marked and easy to follow. Almost paved in spots. Just follow the water pipes.
The best part- a nice beach and mangrove pond at the end to cool off in! The worst part- nothing to cool off in on your way back.
There is some parking within 500m of the trail head, so get close and save yourself a long paved walk to start/end the trail from La Scala. Skinny two way roads, but easy enough to navigate.
Beach is lovely although a bit rough and there are lots of rocks in the water. Have to get out a good bit to get past the waves. Maybe not the best beach for little kids. There is the mangrove pond though, deep, clear and nice and cool.

Easy
This is my favorite hiking in this island.
This trail leads you to a small hidden beach. Though I saw many kids there playing on the beach, if your kids are very young, it might be difficult to bring them there.
There are not much shade on the trail, so I recommend to have a hat along with your beach stuff:D
