Itinerary description

We began our hike from the dinghy dock at the Anse du Bourg, walked to the end of town, up the hill to where the road is blocked on the left for vehicles. From there, the road takes you close to the top. The last bit is on a clear, easy path to the ruins of an old look-out post. The view of Anse du Bourg and the anchorage is lovely!
From there, we continued down the "other side" of the mountain, not knowing what to expect. This was more of a rock scramble that kept on going. It was NOT difficult, just care needed to be taken as there were many leaves and some wet slippery areas.
The trail was extremely well marked... seemingly about every 5 feet!!!
We saw a few bats in one area, lots of hermit crabs, goats, lizards., cinnamon trees, and heard... but did not see... some beautiful songs of birds.
When we saw a little pond, there was a "bridge" to the road.
From there, we opted to turn left and walk down to the beach... Plage de Crawen before heading back and stopping for lunch at Hôtel Bois Joli just before they closed!
Then on back to and through town doing some shopping along the way, forgetting to turn Wikiloc off until we were in the dinghy heading back to our boat.
This was a great hike. I think I would have preferred doing the climb UP the rock scramble v.s. the way we did it... simply because I find climbing up rocks easier than going down.
Because of the rocks and some of the steep areas, we ranked this a Moderate.
