EIGHTH STAGE: Manang - Gunsang - Yak Kharka
We leave Manang with a cloudy day. We arrived at Gunsang, the last town from where we know that you can see the eight thousand of the Annapurna. They can not be seen, but we wait for a while to rest, and finally it is uncovered and we can see the annapurna IV and the Gangapurna.
We still notice the lack of oxygen. We arrived until Yak Kharca, where we had to stay to sleep. The rest of the group is fine, but this time I received it: I feel very weak, I have very bad headache and nausea. We ask for assistance and advice to the owners of the guest house, they measure me oxygen in the blood, and consider that it is too low and that an immediate decrease is necessary.
With a lot of sadness, after not having more days, we decided to leave the circuit of the Annapurna.
Starting from Manang, the route is only accessible by foot. So it is only possible to go on foot or by horse. We ask for a horse but when it is low season they can not find it.
Without thinking too much, we go down to Manang with the help of a porter who brings my backpack. In total, today we have done 20km.
The next day we take a 4x4 to undo the route we had done on foot (from Manang to Besisahar).
