Deze wandeling bij Anholt begint vanaf de parkeerplaats bij waterburcht Anholt met als afsluiting een bezoek aan waterburcht Anholt. De route gaat ook nog door een stukje Nederland.
Anholt is een stad in Duitsland, dicht bij de Nederlandse grens, nabij Gendringen. Het maakt deel uit van de gemeente Isselburg.
De waterburcht Anholt in Isselburg is een van de indrukwekkendste burchtcomplexen in Westfalen en is sinds 1641 familiebezit van het vorstenhuis zu Salm en zu Salm-Salm en wordt privé bewoond. De waterburcht is omgeven door 35 hectare prachtig kasteelpark. Direct naast het historische landschapspark ligt een golfbaan en de Anholter Schweiz.
