IMPORTANT NOTE: THE DIFFICULTY WITH WHICH I CATALOG MY ROUTES IS REFERRED TO MOUNTAINS USED TO WALK, WHO UNWIND THEMSELVES ON EVERY LAND, NOT FOR OCCASIONAL HIKERS. IF YOU HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE, ADD ONE MORE DEGREE TO THE DIFFICULTY OF MY ROUTES SO YOU WILL NOT GET SURPRISES.
Short and attractive more or less circular route to visit the Billabong of Andbangbang and climb to the Nawurlandja Panoramic Point, from where spectacular sunsets are obtained, as was the case, since it is a small mountain practically bare of vegetation on the lake seasonal. It was one of our first small forays into the immense Kakadu National Park, in the north of the country. The route itself does not have any difficulty, although the climb to the Lookout does not have a proper path. The billabong are lake areas, which can become dry, which form like pseudo-marshes, since they are usually related to old waterways that have changed course. They are usually associated with a great abundance of lake fauna since they sometimes occur in arid habitats where water is a very precious commodity, especially in the dry season, as was the case when we visited the area. The views from the Mirador are very wide since the horizon is quite flat.
