Itinerary description
A slight demanding hike with Elevation gain of 925 m.
You will find a few red marks at the beginning until you reach the old paved path which used to connect Chios town with Anavatos.
Aftrer about 2 km it follows a dirt road for about 1 km and then moves uphill without a path to the top of mount Spilakia where you get an amazing panoramic view of Chios. On the way back there are some lovely old sheep pens and sheep shelters and you will admire a unique view of Anavatos.
The route is quite long but easy, except one small part of descend which is on a steep slope
