Itinerary description
A very nice loop trail inside multi-color rock formations.
The trail starts at the night camp near Amram's pillars (15mins drive on good dirt road). It climbs with the green-marked path on a pinking sand stone. The view from the top of the climb is beautiful - the pink amrams pillars on one side, while the black and red rock of Eilat mountains on the other. The trail decends steeply through Amir dry creek with a series of waterfalls inside the magnificent red rock. At the bottom the path connects to the israel national trail and climbs back, crossing a series of colored rock fomations ranging from black to yellow to red, pink and purple. Finally we decend back to the starting point through another steep red creek.
11km, +/-500m, 4.5hrs
