Itinerary description
It took around seven hours to cover the distance of 13km. The first few kilometres absolutely flat. In the Alazani river could be forded with caution (early June 2023): water up to the knee, quite strong stream.
A trail with switchbacks up to Sakorne Pass. Closer to the pass, had to deviate from the trail, since some parts of it were covered with snow.
Steep descent to the river, some landslides. Crossed the river on a natural snow bridge; otherwise, it wouldn't have been possible.
A rather steep ascent with switchbacks to the shepard camp (not manned); lots of snow in gullies.
