Itinerary description
Salt production ponds that have been reclaimed as a wildlife area. Near the heart of San Jose, CA and Milpitas these areas are a haven to hikers and bikers that don't have the time to make a extended trip. There are several trails varying from a mile or two to 12 miles. Most trails follow the dikes that enclose the salt ponds ( now refuge ponds? :) )
