Itinerary description
This is a well-marked loop trail just north of Alvaiázere. The trail circles a small hill named the Serra da Ariques. You start in the village of Ariques, park near the school (Rua da Escola), look for the handy walk information board and walk North towards Venda do Negro. The best part of the hike is after a long uphill, you follow a goat path alongside a hill nestled on the other side of the Serra. Take care not to miss the right turn at the bottom of the marked hike - following signs for PR2.
