Itinerary description
I have come to the conclusion that in Costa Rica there are no roads that are straight and flat. A beautiful country and on this hike there is always a nice view. The northern section runs along a ridge and was breezy and noticeably cooler. In several sections the inclines (both up and down) were very steep bordering on difficult. Certainly with the elevation change this is not for a beginner.
The path you are on varies from paved roadway to stone and dirt in the higher sections. There are several small stores along the way for food and drink. Hike can be extended by starting further south or joining up with a trail to the north (Santiago de Palmares)

Esta ruta es muy bonita y funciona como un buen entrenamiento. De igual manera, se puede desviar hasta Estanquillos para alargar el recorrido.
Sí, una buena ruta, nos ha gustado mucho.
Hola Flores. Haces recorridos oor Atenas.??
