Itinerary description
** The route up has not been recorded correctly. It is the same as the route down, but check other saved trails on here to ensure you know where you are going**
After two attempt at climbing this mountain we finally decided it was time to finish it. This was the first mountain in Spain we ever experienced and after hiking a fair amount since November 2012 it seemed a lot easier than it was initially. The initial rise is quite steep but not unsafe at all. Once you reach the end of the initial section you need to go around the mountain and up to the half way point (Here you will find the alternative routes marked with a yellow and white cross or the red and green arrows). For the normal ascension just follow the yellow and white stripes). This is definitely not an easy climb, but if you take care and don't look down too much, it is a pretty logical progression to the top. Once you reach the refuge the top is near and none to difficult to reach at all. If you can take an extra bottle of water, a couple of candles and any other objects to leave at the refuge for other hikers should they need it. This conquered my phobia of heights and we are both stoked to have conquered it!
