Itinerary description

30 - July - 2016
Total walking time: 9 hrs.

English (castellano debajo);

We started the route from the train station parking in Alpnachstad. In case you want to go by train you can visit https://www.sbb.ch/en for the prices and timetables.
The beggining is not difficult and it starts from a very open and green path until you reach the forest. You need to go through it and it will be steeper, so make sure that you are ready for it.

Once you are out from the forest, the path will still be very good, however, it will be a very long way to go. In the middle of the way you can find a cable car stop as well as a restaurant but we decided anyway to keep on walking. You will find people along the way and impressive views all time.
The higher you reach the less vegetation you will find and the path will be more rocky.

An option is always to go up walking and down in a cable car, however, be careful about timings as we lost the last one because they stop quite early.

From the hotel / restaurant you can quickly go to Tomloshorn and back (or even start the descend from there in a bucle).
As we knew it would get dark we decided to go back using the same path as it was already known.

Castellano:
30 - Julio - 2016
Tiempo utilizado: 9 horas.

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

Great path, really recommended, also is easy to follow the path signals. I did only the walk at the top and the downhill since I used the cogwheel train to go up and save some time (and effort). Going down normally takes around 3 hours, I did it in 2h 15 since I ran in some sections mostly at the bottom. Thanks for sharing.
