Itinerary description
Misty morning turned into a nice hike through thick fog, frozen rain above 3700 m with sun spells during descending.
Had to wait for a group of ppl at such a low pace from Shymbulak to Mynzhylky dam. At the dam another 40 minutes waiting for the group.
From the dam to Alpinegrad started to speed up. The weather started to worsen as such had to put on some extra layers and took a break for chitchat.
Heading from the Alpinegrad to Manshuk lake through a thick fog slowing down participants.
Upon reaching the lake one has to wear a helmet due to stone falls, whilst bending around the lake.
In a half, an hour came across to an ascend to the gorge, which was the major bottleneck. Had to pass people one by one along end narrow trail, as such slowing down.
Upon reaching the peak, the visibility was close to nothing.
My first 4k in Almaty. Next time will try to pick up the speed.
Maker sure to take a helmet with you give a falling mature of rock whilst passing around Manshuk lake.
