Itinerary description

<<< English >>> This route is ideal for summer because you walk quite high and it is not warm. You have to leave the car at the second car park, which is after the bridge. Buses do not cross that bridge but cars do; pass to the second parking and you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary asphalt. The first part of the trail goes along a very nice river. Then you go enter in the woods and walk in the shade following the path to the waterfalls, with a soft floor. The third waterfall, and in particular the walkway, is spectacular, breathtaking. The walkway itself already worth the journey. After the third waterfall we leave the shade and the floor becomes stony, worse for the feet. This part of the trail, especially after the Alpage du Glacier, has more slope but the track zigzags and is done without difficulty. It was July and we found quite of snow up in the Deffeyes hut. There you can rest and eat (two pasta dishes and two Cokes, 23 euros). The area where the hut is is quiet and you can enjoy the alpine environment. The entire route is very interesting and many times one enjoys the views of Mont Blanc and its beautiful white snow shining. Flowers everywhere and creeks of water that you can drink (I did it).

Fantastic views, awesome landscapes! Please be advised that the trail is not as easy as it’s described! From the first lake to Deffeys hub is very steep for almost 1 hour and a half.
However, 100% worth it as you will see the fantastic Rutor glacier from there!
