ALP 03-Refugios de Vittorio Emanuele II y Chabod // Vittorio Emanuele II and Chabod huts

Una vez allí, toda la gente y las mochilas se quedan allí mientras que otro baja con el coche hasta el aparcamiento que hay en Desous Praviou (45° 32' 40.11" N-7° 12' 46.10" E). Una vez que se deja el coche, es muy sencillo hacer autostop para que te lleven de vuelta hasta el parking de Le Pont. De esta manera, el coche estará en el punto final de la ruta. La ruta comienza caminando en plano junto al río, hasta llegar al refugio Tetras Lyre. Después de pasar por ese refugio el camino se empina y empieza a subir zigzagueando hasta el refugio Vittorio Emanuele II. La subida es continua pero sencilla y está muy arreglada. Al fin y al cabo, esta ruta es una de las más emblemáticas de este valle. El refugio Vittorio Emanuele II es muy peculiar, con su tejado curvo cubierto por chapas metálicas. Hay mucha gente muy bien equipada para hacer alguna de las cumbres que hay alrededor. En el refugio se puede comer algo (pasta con tomate, 6 €) y beber (lata de Coca Cola, 3.20 €). La segunda parte de nuestra ruta era la travesía hasta el refugio Chabod. Esta parte de la ruta es más complicada porque el suelo es incómodo: hay muchas piedras, caos de rocas y canchales. Tardamos dos horas para hacer poco más de cinco kilómetros. La tercera parte, desde el refugio Chabod hasta el aparcamiento de Desous Praviou es realmente incómoda por el suelo. Son piedras planas puestas de perfil que hacen daño en las plantas de los pies. Con todo, esta ruta es obligada y cualquier incomodidad tiene la recompensa de caminar por encima de la cota de 2500 m mientras se disfruta de la silueta del Gran Paradiso. <<< English >>> Unless you intend to do this route alone, I recommend to come with the car up to the parking of the camping Le Pont. The route starts walking flat along the river, to the hut Tetras Lyre. After passing that refuge, the road climbs up zigzagging to the hut Vittorio Emanuele II. The climb is continuous but easy and the trail is in a very good shape. After all, this route is one of the most emblematic of this valley. The refuge Vittorio Emanuele II is very peculiar, with its curved roof covered with metal sheets. There are many climbers very well equipped to do some of the surrounding peaks. In the hut you can eat something (pasta with tomato, 6 €) and drink (Coke, € 3.20). The second part of our journey was the trip to the Chabod hut. This part of the route is more complicated because the floor is uncomfortable: there are many stones, chaos of rocks and screes. It took two hours to do little more than five kilometers. The third part, from the refuge Chabod to the parking in Desous Praviou is really uncomfortable due to the ground. They are flat stones placed in profile that hurt the soles of the feet. However, this route is a must and any discomfort is rewarded by walking above 2500 m while enjoying the silhouette of Gran Paradiso.
