Itinerary description
We left Aljezur in order to walk the Rota Vicentina to Odeceixe, but apparently we weren't very well awaken because that day we followed the red and white-signs of the Via Algarviana instead of those of the Historical way of the Rota V. It was nice weather and the walking was very pleasant. At a sudden moment we saw a postsign indicating Marmelete. I didn't remember that name and I started realizing that we should have been starting our descent to the valley instaed of continuing our walk in the hills. And thant we found out that we had been following de GR-signs of Via Algarviana. I did'nt want to go back to Aljezur, so we found our way to Odeceixe with the map and Google Maps and had a very very fine walk through de countryside, avoiding the dull canal from Rogil to Odeceixe. We started walking along the canal in Maria Vinagre. I can recommend everyone making this detour.
