Itinerary description

After hearing so many things about Alishan National Scenic Area I was actually quite disappointed. Instead of feeling like you are in nature, because of the entire walk being on wooden or asphalt walkways and all of the thousands of other visitors, it felt much more like being in a nature themed amusement park. Add on that it was almost impossible to find somewhere to park our car even though we had been sold our permit for entering by car and it all added up to a fairly disappointing stop on our holiday. The views on this walk were ok, maybe it's better waiting for the train for some better views, although I not so sure about that since this walk follows the route of the train for a long way.
