Itinerary description
This trail is located in the northern part of Cyprus.
Not long and beautiful trail, very diverse in views and terrain. Fantastic panorama of the coast and valley. Very picturesque ruins of Armenian monastery are on the trail.
This trail boasts of more than 10 species of orchids along the way (during late winter and spring).
We happened to be on the trail during not very pleasant weather - walked through a few drizzles and a couple of sudden but short hailstorms but even that didn't prevent us from admiring of surrounding beauty.
TERRAIN: various - a bit of asphalt, narrow rocky paths, narrow and wide forest paths. After the view point there is a part of walking on builders.
Descent in the beginning then ascent with some rather steep parts, however one can walk the trail in the other direction.
SEASON: the trail is shady for about 40%. But time of the day also adds to the shade.
SIGNS: the trail has a few maps and is marked pretty good with green-white spots and other direction signs. No resting places except for the view point and picnic area at the beginning/end of the trail.
KIDS: better walk with kids starting 7 yo. There are some unprotected edges along the trail.
