Itinerary description
My first hike in shoes that finally don’t make my legs hurt (took me 24 hikes) - hoka speedgoat 5. Due to this I enjoyed the hike immensely despite a constant drizzle and wet legs in the second part.
A good balance of trails and beelines with fresh after-rain air. A lunch in a Polonezköy restaurant where they serve Black Sea region traditional dolma. We had a lot of fun climbing the clay hill and crossing streams. I was lucky to bring a pole with me but didn’t bring leg gaters because I trusted the no rain forecast. And it was wise to buy secateurs, otherwise we would have just one person cutting the thorns.
We had quite a few stray dogs with us, we lost the first one after a stream crossing, then we had three new, two of them decided to station in Polonezköy but we got another one. Finished with 2 dogs in Mahmut Şevket paşa. We were a small group so we finished early.
My phone lied as always about the distance, my garmin said it was 27km total
