This route is part of a group that combines hiking in the country with a 18-day trip and cruise through the Fjords of Alaska and also on hikes at one of the points that visit the cruise.

Third and last day at the KENAI PENINSULA with a walk that will allow us to visit the Russian Lake and the section of the Russian river that connects it with the Kenai River.

It is a very urbanized area in the section that goes from the car park to the waterfall and is called Fisherman Trail or the fishermen's way. The interest of the waterfall is not so much its beauty, that it has it, like the fact that we could see saltmons jumping to try to overcome them. In fact, the Rus river is one of the most representative places in Alaska fishing.

Once you have visited the cataracts, where we will have a good time, we return to the point where there is a small bridge that crosses the river and we head for Lower Russian Lake and we are going along the shore to the point where the path is. head towards the Upper Russian Lake. We dine on the shores of the lake and then, along the same road, we return to the point where we left the car.

Note: In the afternoon, from the end of the parking lot, we will visit the lower section of the river, to its confluence with the Kenai River and that is full of sinners in a section that is all organized with wooden paths and with numbered places for fishermen.
