This route is part of a group that combines hiking in the country with a 18-day trip and cruise through the Fjords of Alaska and also on hikes at one of the points that visit the cruise.
On the third day, already within the Denali National Park and on the way to the point where the next day we can take the official bus that will allow us to visit it, we arrive to Lake Byers where we will walk the day and we will climb up to 750 meters from where we can see the Chulitna River with its huge sandy beaches that give a good perspective of what are the rivers of Alaska.
The itinerary begins in the recreational area at the foot of the lake and first we follow the indications of the path that goes round the lake. We pass through a metallic pendant bridge in a short while, we are at the turning point where we will leave the road to the lake to follow the Cascade Trail that we will not leave until the point where we will turn after a bite.
The route is always very clear and only at some point that follows a stream is a bit ambitious, but always good to follow.
