Itinerary description
Moderate hike around into the hills above Akaroa village with stunning views of Akaroa harbour and also Stony Bay. This short hike opens up to many options to extend or shorten the route. This route takes in all the best look out points as well, plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the stunning vista of Akaroa harbour. Descent is via Stony Bay Road, a narrow unpaved country road - keep a lookout for cars.
