Itinerary description
Despite the length, this is a very easy trek, only getting a bit steep at the last portion.
The path is pretty obvious, but never boring, so it's easy to hike without GPS.
From Karakol, there are mastrukas to Aksu Senatorium during daytime, departing every 20 minutes or so (depending on the number of passangers). 40som+luggage. Takes 20 mins.
The views of the hike are very nice, and at Altin Arashan, there are yurts, which you could stay beteen 700-1000som, dinner and breakfast inclusive. No need for tent.
Loads of water resources on the way, so a liter of water pp shall be enough.
After Altin Arashan, a 4-5 hours hike can bring you to Ala-Köl, which will throw you at 3800 level.
At Aksu village, we stayed with a family for a fee; just at the intersection showing "Altin Arashan 15km, and Aksi Resort 3km", there is the house of Mr. Samet and Mrs Zerrina, they are lovely people with adorable kids (Eldos, Akchol), I would reccomend staying with them, ast the villagers for directions

Hi! This was a 2 days hike, which we spent a night at the Altin Arashan valley in one of the guest houses. 15km go, and 15 to go back = 30 :) Easy hike, but even if it may be technically possible to do as a day trip, it would be so rushed. Take shelter at the valley :)
