Itinerary description
We parked in the Split point lighthouse carpark, ample parking available.
We timed our walk for low tide so we could do the outward leg along the sand to Urquharts bluff, do not attempt this at any other time as there are rocky points to navigate around.
Great scenery of the beach and cliffs on your way to Urquarts Bluff, on arrival there are toilets and picnic tables available.
The return trip is via the Surf Coast walk which you pick up to the right of the toilets, a steady climb takes you to the cliff tops.
The trail is well marked and formed, it's narrow and winding through typical coastal scrub.
There are some steep sharp climbs/decends
There are some great viewing area's that highlight the magnificent coastline.
