Itinerary description
Beautiful circular hike. Lots of different types of rocks and geological features. Well-marked trail, steep climb at the start, and a big rock with lots of petroglyphs midway.
Having done this hike both first thing in the morning and right before sunset, afternoon is the nicer time of day. The afternoon light really picks up the spectrum of colours in the rocks better. Just keep an eye on the time to get back up to the main road by sunset!
The road down to the start of the hike is partially collapsed in a number of places, some might not be comfortable driving on it. Suggest to drive it only in daylight
