Itinerary description
Picturesque short trail with some steep but short ascents to train one’s muscles. Panoramic views of Paphos suburbs will add it up.
On the way from the top you’ll be passing by various vineyards.
The trail can be combined with Moundiko trail (https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/moundiko-nature-trail-kathikas-87736048 ) as they are only 4 kms apart.
TERRAIN: very different - ascents and descents, earthy dusty and rocky paths, asphalt and concrete roads. You’ll have to cross a river bottom but the river has a seasonal nature.
SEASON: the trail is mostly exposed to the sun.
SIGNS: there are enough signs to lead you the right way, apart from one point - after view point turn left and proceed further along concrete road.
There are resting places as well.
It should be noted that the shape of the trail on the map doesn’t correspond to the actual trail. Maybe the map is outdated and the trail was changed a few years ago due to various constructions.
KIDS: the trail is Ok for kids from 5 yo with adult supervision.
Parking at the trail start is max for 2-3 cars.
