Itinerary description
The walk starts at Agia Sofia which we reached by the black and yellow route from the castle in Kardamili.
It took about 40 minutes walking time to reach there from the far end of the village.
From the church the route is downhill along little used roads until it takes a path down near the turn off for Exochori passing down past the spring with its laundry basins. The path is well marked for Kardamili and rejoins the road a little way above the village.
We took an earlier detour to the right before the turn to Exochori trying to reach the church on the hilltop, but the land seems to be privately owned so we turned back.
