Itinerary description

This trail was opened recently by EoS Volos and Friends of the Kalderimi and local volunteers at Afetes. It is an interesting and varied path that ascends quite gently to Milies. In a few places our waymarker signs have been removed so some care is needed following the route. An earth road construction has also cut across the path in the middle section and it needs care to descend a few meters of stone to remain on the path. Volunteers will continue to improve these details, but enjoy the walk and use this trail it is beautiful.

Post stolen and red paint mark damaged

At this point we leave an earth road to follow the trail. It only takes one person to remove our waymarker posts and make the trail more difficult, but the effects of this vandalism and theft is to endanger hikers who are relying on following our trail signs.

The path (after the river) is **not** accessible anymore. Had to u-turn unfortunately.
