Itinerary description
Afetes to Neochori.
Warning: wear long leg trousers and take a whacking stick to beat down brambles and ferns. Several sections of path are blocked by brambles or dense ferns unfortunately. This may improve once things get back to normal after covid.
The route from Neochori to the monastery is also fairly covered but passable, just wear long trousers to protect your lower legs and be ready to persevere. Or find a by pass route to the dam and skip the monastery, it's not exactly impressive anyway.
The best part of the trail was following the fire breaks and farm tracks from the dam to Afetes. There's great views from the top. Be ready for not much shade though during the day up here.
