Itinerary description
Day 9 pm: end of tour. This is the last part of a 9-day hike from the F225, exit Hekla, to the Eldgja area on the F208 in the SW of Iceland.
The track shos the walk from the ford in the Eldgja area on the F208 to the Holaskjol hut on the F208. There is nothing special to this track: it just follows the F208, we walked to Holaskjol to find a roof against the rain. One could also hike to Holaskjol directly from Alftavotn, but then you would miss the nice Eldgja area. At Holaskjol, we took the Landmannalaugar - Skaftafell bus for a rest and new adventures.
