Itinerary description
Day 4: another short day, going east to Landmannalaugar. The track shows that we searched for a place to go down to Landmannalaugar W of the Laugevur trail after crossing the Storhiver- Haalda route (waypoint), but we did not find a good place for the descent: only steep rocks or narrow clefts below. So we walked a circle (see the track) and followed for the last part the (crowded) Laugevur trail to Landmannalaugar. Here, we saw the first hikers after leaving the bus at exit Hekla on the F225. The terrain is easy and the views are great.
