Itinerary description
I did it reverse , usually reverse route of the trail is harder, this trail is an exception my reverse route was much easier than official route from Aphrodite Bath.
I suggest to left your car at Aphrodite Bath parking place and walk back to the starting point on paved road.
On dirt track stones can be very slippery like a soap lol be careful. Soft gum on walking poles may helpful. Trail marked well general but.. some places are not marked at all so if you make mistake don't have GPS aid may need to sleep outside in wilderness ;)
Summer can be very hot and most of the trail is exposed, winter is best time to visit the trail.
This trail offers beautiful views of Polis Chrysochous, the Paphos Forest and the Akamas peninsula. The path runs past Pyrgos tis Rigainas(Queen’s Tower) and connects with the Smigies trail at Kefalovrysia, where there’s a fountain of non-potable water, and with the Aphrodite trail at Pyrgo tis Rigainas. Another point worth mentioning is a 500-year-old oak tree, which is located near the ruins of the tower. To return full circle, the trail follows the main road that connects the Baths of Aphrodite with Polis for about 400 metres. At the starting point of the trail you can visit the Botanical Gardens of Akamas.
